Thanks for all the well wishes and speedy recovery thoughts over the last day.
After spending the night at the vet, Bronco came home this morning. We then had to go back about a half an hour later because the bandage had come off and blood was once again going everywhere.
But after we got home the second time things were much better.
For the most part he doesn’t act like his tail is bothering him. Every once in awhile he will hit it and sort of jump so we are trying to keep him as calm as you can possibly keep a 3 year old lab who loves to run and jump and play.
Basically I’ve been sitting in the bed with him. He’s always loved to lay in our bed and sleep so we let him. He’s quiet and not doing any more damage so it works!
We had another brief bleeding incident as I was doing dishes (seriously, I turn my back for two minutes and he starts bleeding again) but it wasn’t too bad.
The stitches come out in ten days. We just have to make it ten days.
I’m taking bets on how many times we’ll end up back at the vet to get cleaned up and re-bandaged in those ten days.
But for the most part- all is good.
Something very similar happened to my cat and they went straight to putting a cast on the tip – never came off and was hard and protective if he hit it on something.
Maybe something to ask about? Hope he heels up well soon!

Sorry about the duplicate post – it didn’t seem to take it the first time! ;-0
They seem to be upgrading every few days at the monmet. I am just up to 3.1.2. I like the new admin and password facilities which do seem to speed things up greatly. The new screen options facility on the page editor did get me confused for a few minutes though but I am happy to forgive the quirks. Having used WP for three years now I agree that positive progress is being made. Most amazing of all is that this wonderful tool is free!
